The family at Alan Kessler's Karate Center believes in the importance of having our school, through its students, use the virtues of the martial arts in every day life. Respect toward others isn't just a lesson limited to the karate class. Our student creed emphasizes community service, and our actions put the creed into effect. Twice a year, we hold blood drives for the Red Cross, and this year alone we have made |
| significant contributions to Lowell Department of Social Services, the House of Hope in Lowell, The Rosary and the International Rescue Committee. In February 2003, we were officially recognized by president George Bush for over 300 hours of community service that students provided to Billerica during March of 2002. With satellite programs at Knowledge Beginnings in Billerica, Burlington and Chelmsford, the Children's center in Sudbury, Shaker Lane Elementary School in Littleton, Kinder Care in Chamfered and Learn and Grow in Arlington, we are an active member of area communities, and our efforts help people everywhere live better lives. |
